Fantastic Weekend!

It was a fab weekend, as I've already mentioned I crammed alot in, but Ally Pally was the main event and it was great to be there. The make & takes that we did at the Particraft stand were a great success and I do believe that we were the only make and take there?! We sat more people round that were planned for, not to mention those that stood just to watch. I must say it was a great experience!

It was equally great to meet up with new and old faces.......Lynsay, Michelle (old faces). Lynne, Paula, Victoria & John (hope you're having a fab holiday), lyn Bobcat and of course Sheena, it was lovely to see you all and work with you, hope you and your bank accounts are all recovering today!!!!.....and talking of that, here's a peak at "SOME" of the goodies I got over the weekend!
AND Finally TRACI, whom we didn't get to see, I just want to send you lol and hope you are feeling better!

GREAT weekend! & Blog Candy Winner

OMG where to start.........I've had an absolutely great weekend from getting to spend some time with my parents, attending Emma's skating Gala (Friday), and both Sat/Sun at Ally Pally to top it all, I can't even believe I crammed that all in a weekend.....but I did!!
But first, let me get the Blog Candy out of the way, as I'm sure you're all anxious to know who the winner is!........well the draw has been done, although this time I had no help, as my helpers are back at school today, so I've printed out the names, cut them out, scrunched them up - yes scrunched!!!! - into the (not yet altered tin) and the hand you see in the picture is mine - the other hand is taking the picture!!!........and the winner is.......................... MICHELLE....yes Michelle you are the winner!!!
THANK YOU so much to everyone who took part, its always great to read your kind comments and to also be able to take a look at your blogs! CONGRATS! to Michelle (email me your address and I will post this out to you asap).
DONT FORGET to check back on Wednesday for October's Blog Candy.....it could be you!

Challenge #2

As I said I was in the process of making another card, this time for ABC's Challenge Blog - they are currently on "J" and this week it's "J for jewels".

I've used backing papers from my stash box, the stamp is from a set of 4 unmounted "Sassy Ladies", but I don't remeber where I got them from!! - sorry! the jewels are "Beadazzles" which I picked up at my local craft shop, have had for AGES and have only just used for the first time!

P.S. I will probably not be posting again 'till after the weekend as I am off to London tomorrow for "The Big Stamp Show" at Ally Pally. If you would like to come along and say hello, you can catch me at the Particraft stand.

1st Xmas Card/1st Challenge!

That's right, I have attempted to get into this early Xmas mode and have made an Xmas card which also doubles as my entry into my first ever challenge! - on my visits in blogland I have seen many of you doing these and I keep saying to myself "I must do one!", but never got round to doing so, so as yesterday the 1st WOJ challenge blog went live with their 1st chellenge - I to took the opportunity to enter my 1st challenge, hence this is my entry for it, the sketch has been set by Katharina, the only rule is that you have to use one WOJ stamp, I have used "Charlotte riding reindeer", the "village scene" stamp is from Particraft and the background papers are from Pink Petticoat.

BUT it doesn't end here..........I am also making another card for another challenge blog which I will post details of later.....there's no stopping me now!!!

I made this card yesterday with my new rubber romance stamp and some paper from my paper stash box (i.e. left overs!).

WOJ

Katharina over at WOJ is looking for her next guest DT - so not wanting to miss out on this great opportunity, here is my entry - well actually two entries; we could use any of Katharina's sketches, I managed to narrow it down to two, couldn't decide so I did 2 cards using each of the sketches based on 2 different themes - Halloween and a Get Well card dedicated to my hubby who has been quite unwell for the last couple of weeks!

Halloween Card - sketch #26 - stamps used "witch" from Debbie Moore and "cauldron" from Cherie pie art stamps, papers from "Sweet Shoppe Designs"

Get Well - Sketch #24 - Stamp used WOJ. Teddy I made from Fimo, I've backed him with a magnetic strip so that he can then go on the fridge!

ALLY PALLY!!!

Join me and some of my Particraft colleagues at Alexandra Palace for the
on 27/28 September - London
Come and join in the great "make and takes" that we have lined up.
It's fun and a great day out!
Stop by and say hello - it will be great to meet you!

Some Cards!

I made a few cards just before I left for my hols. which I didn't get round to posting, so here they are now.

I have made a tutorial on how to make this file which I will post here on my blog - once I figure out how to link it??!!

This is not the actual card which I gave to mum and dad for their anniversary - as I was taking the picture of the card I spotted a BIG mistake!!! Mum and Dad have been married 40 years this August!, according to my card above they'd only been married 30!!!! - TG I spotted it in time, although I then forgot to take a picture of the card (it was the same though only difference was it correctly had 1968 on it!) pheww!

Last week and today, I received some stamping goodies, so watch this space for some more samples.

I have also entered in for another DT call with
Silly Monkey Crafts - I will post my entry for it here next week!

Blog Candy!

*** THIS BLOG CANDY HAS NOW ENDED ***
Thank you to everyone that took part
At last, I've finally got round to posting September's Blog Candy. Here's your chance to win this great stamp from Clarity stamps together with project sheet (including Artdoll jester template) along with another "exclusive" antistatic bag for clearer stamping! Once again all I ask is that you leave me a comment on this post by 29th September 11pm (GMT) and if you tell people about my candy with a link back here on your blog, I will add your name twice. I will then randomly select a winner and post the results here on my blog.

Happy crafting!

Raring to Go!...

Well what can I say.........sorry for being absent for soooo long, I had no intention of being away this long but, one thing led to another and another and another...................I have been very busy with homelife and sorting things out, but I'm back and raring to go!!.......

So, where to start?!!......ok well, firstly I've posted a few pics from our holiday (which now seems like such a long time ago) nonetheless kids had a fab time and it was a nice break for Kevin and me!

As I've been so busy, I've had no time for crafting although at the end of the day - VERY VERY end!! I ocassionally checked in on fav blogs etc., which made me jealous because while everyone was merrily crafting away....I wasn't! - but it also made me realise how much I missed it - I know I was away for 2 weeks hol and did no crafting, but that was different, the fact that I was at home amongst all my "crafty" things all I could do was look and walk past........how fustrating!

Anyway, last night I made a quick card for my Mum's friend who is getting married tomorrow!.. She is 67 and after being widowed for 16 years has found love again......Fantastic!

For this card I have used various pieces of left over scrap papers the "Ball Gown" stamp from Particraft and buttons and ribbons from my stash. I decided to have a go at stitching the card, I really like the effect, it was easy to do and I will definitely be using that technique again in other projects.

And last but not least.....
I've now posted my September BLOG CANDY!!!!....(here)

Have a great weekend!
