Whiff of Joy
Whiff of Joy is a new stamp company about to launch tomorrow! and I wish Katharina and all her team all the very best. The stamps are gorgeous and you can have a peak in her blog. The design team have already been selected (congratulations to all!) and she is still looking (but only 'till 30/7/08) for a guest designer, so despite the longshot and the timescale (as I only stumbled onto this yesterday!...), I thought I would still give it ago and above you can see my card. I have used Sweet Art Ebony stamp "Pen Pal", K&Co. paper, embelishment was made with fimo and coloured with Ranger alcohol gold ink, image was coloured with distress pads and the rest is from my own stash. Hope you like it!...

Busy, Busy Weekend!
It has been just that, a very busy weekend. Hubby returned home from a work trip and just in time for his birthday on Saturday of which was spent at football training with Michael and then whilst Michael went to a friends he came home to write up a report for work - and where was I in all this I hear you ask.......at the Art Stamp show in Newbury!!!!...on hubby's birthday??? he wanted to be left alone to do this report - can't argue with that!!!!!!......we did have a meal booked at a local restaurant which is lovely - and all three of us had a lovely meal and really enjoyed the evening - despite being in all direction during the day!
I havn't had much time to do much crafting these past few days, but have posted pictures of two cards which I managed to get round to finishing last week. Hope you all had a great weekend.
And how was the show, I hear you ask?.....it was OK - I had planned to go the two days, but Saturday from 12ish when I got there to about 4.30pm when I left was plenty. Spoke to a few people, none of which were local which is amazing to see how far people will travel to go to shows, one group of ladies which I sat and had lunch with had travelled down from Scotland!!!... Anyway, had a good time, bought a couple of new goodies, but glad to say that I was very good and didn't break the bank this time....(reserving that for Ally Pally!!!).

A little 'Blog Candy'
*** THIS BLOG CANDY HAS NOW ENDED ***
Thank you to everybody that left a comment
you can find out who the winner was here
After seeing so many of these 'candy' on various blogs and always being close to tempted (some lovely things out there!.....) yesterday, after receiving a newsletter, I finally did it and entered Magnolia blog's candy. The chances of winning are probably as much as winning the lottery, but if you don't try then you'll never know, so fingers crossed and I'll let you know!........
In the meantime, I decided to do one myself, so if you would like to be in with a chance to win this super cute brand new (unmounted) stamp all you have to do is leave me a message in this post and if you tell people about my candy with a link back here on your blog, I will add your name twice!
I will randomly draw a winner on 1st August '08 and post the results here on my blog.
I hope you will all join in the fun!
Best of luck!!

Have a "Partibreak"!
I made this bottle treat box to use at both up and coming workshops and parties - I thought them to be a nice idea for a plain water bottle, which I usually always have on my desk, with the added bonus of a chocolate!!!!!! - Although I made this specifically for a small water bottle, no reason why it can't be made for a larger bottle (without pouch) i.e. wine bottles at wedding tables with bride and groom name/theme!!...
And this is what it looks like just on its own!

Sarah Kay!
Look at what a lovely gift I was sent today, all the way from the U.S.A.!!!
My friend, whom I've known since early school days, and has always known what I am like when it comes to craft and making things, sent these to me. When I recently (2 years ago actually!) went over for a visit, I got him to go around all the craft shops in the Seattle region with me (as well as a 2 day trip to Canada!!) so he truly knows all about me and my crafting. I have some Sarah Kay images which I downloaded from the internet, but now I have the real thing. Now all I need is some me time to go play with my new toys!!!..........."M", if you're reading this, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Happy Birthday Dad!
It was my Dad's birthday on Saturday so we all went down to London to Surprise him - and had a great weekend with family and friends. Once again though, my photography let me down - I took three pictures and my memory card was full and I couldn't delete any as I haven't downloaded any of the pics!!!! - I'm having a real bad run lately with camera/photography!.....I only hope that our holiday pics wont turn out to be a flop!!!.....lol

Street Dancing
We went to see Emma's school 'Street Dancing' end of year show last night that they put on for the parents. It was really good and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I was only really annoyed with one thing - me and my photography!!! or should I say lack of it - I seriously need to go on a photography course!!! - I have, I believe a fairly good camera nothing fancy, but its ok, yet I still cannot manage to take good pics - especially in situtaions like this one with low light and the distance!! - uuhhhrrrr.........lol

Tatty Bear - Thank You
I wanted to make a quick Thank You card for our babysitter who came through for us yesterday at VERY short notice! - I know she likes bears (so do I!) and I immediately thought of my Particraft stamp bear with the heart, but I just wanted to make him that bit more cuter so I added some "tattyness" to him just by going around with a same colour marker as the ink with some quick flicks. Now he looks like my tatty bear that I've had since childhood - oh yes I still have him!......
Acetate Wedding Card
I ordered some really gorgeous stamps a while ago and just haven't had chance to use and make anything with them, so this afternoon I decided to make a card with one of those stamps and here it is. In making this card I've exeprimented the use with acetate - this is what I came up with.
